This is my reply:
To learn a language, you have to live in the everyday situations so you will be able to communicate in a few time.
Unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity to spend an amount of time abroad.
If you are studying Italian in your country and you are not be able to improve your ability, try a different approach: speak Italian with a native speaker in a natural way (Italian people are almost everywhere).
The purpose is to communicate, not just to do some academic exercises and you need to have conversation in Italian, listen to spoken Italian and Italian songs. I suggest downloading mp3 files that you can listen to on your mp3 every day.
Yes, I suggest that you spend some time every day listening to Italian songs to improve your listening skills and your confidence in Italian language. I am sure: slowly but definitely, your confidence will grow up.
If you really need to improve your listening skills, you should be quiet and do not be distracted by only one part of the meaning (and therefore miss the important part): you have to try to understand the general meaning (and guess the other section).
When you find a piece you have difficulty with, ask to your teacher to repeat it and then listen to and try it again until it becomes clear.
But remember: the main focus is “to practise“!
You can also improve your vocabulary and comprehension reading magazines or simple books, but remember that many Italian words look like English words and have the same or similar meanings.
E.g. idea/idea (but with a different pronunciation) penna/pen, stazione/station, museo/museum, professore/professor, difficile/difficult, intelligente/intelligent, stupido/stupid, but avoid the temptation to make absolute comparisons between Italian and English: it is impossible!

I agree with what Monica was saying about getting as much comprehensible input as possible, as well as practicing! I think the best way to improve your confidence and fluency in speaking is to find more opportunities to practice with native speakers. Also, by forcing yourself to speak more your brain develops the necessary mechanism to start thinking and producing output in Italian. If you’re looking for a way to connect with native Italian speakers online for practice, try http://www.italki.com. There are plenty of Italian speakers on there who’d be happy to do language exchange with you. And just think, you’re halfway there since you can already understand a lot of Italian words!

I like to know what is the difference between the Gli and Agli???
I know, Gli is normally used for the plural. But, Agli, like agli turisti….
I was wondering???
I would think it must be some form of plural. but, i like to know how do you use it please?
Also, in section that you wrote about yourself, you said,” mi piace camminare per Roma”
if “Per”is proposizione,do we have to use it this way?
Or should we say, mi piace camminare in Roma???
what is the correct porposizione in this way?

Ciao Sabrina,
“Gli”, in questo caso, è l’articolo maschile plurale che usiamo prima di nomi che cominciano con vocale (es. gli alberi; gli orologi) o con S+consonante (es: gli studenti; gli stranieri) o con Z (gli zaini) o … (vedi qui lo schema).
“Agli” è la preposizione A + l’articolo Gli per esempio: “do i compiti agli studenti”.
Seconda domanda: Cammino
inRoma non è corretto: in italiano si dice “A” Roma (in generale) o “Per” Roma (“per” significa “through” cioè attraverso le strade di Roma).Spero di esserti stata utile. Ciao

perche, per me, e molto difficile per trouvare la scuola qui. A meno che, in univirsita.
E a college, gli studenti interesstati solo per tesserino(pass) Credit di corso stranieri(non lo so come si dice??)quindi, non e utile.Poi, le scuole personali pero, non ci sono tanti bouni insegnati.In passato,provato e ervano non riuscito…Ed anche, non ho contatto con nessuno Italiani. Anche se,ci sono gli Italiani abitano in California. Ma, portroppo, la vita qui e molto isole per me. Per che, difficile per conoscere le gente in generale…….. Quidi,non e facile e non voglio paggare di corso che,simplice solo divertente. per me, sono molto serio.
In ogni caso, solo studio mi stesso adesso. senza insegnante o professore.
Finche, un giorno ancora posso venire a L’Italia.

Grazie a te per le tue parole gentili. Capisco le tue difficoltà. Studiare da soli è un po’ noioso e richiede più tempo perciò, oltre allo studio della grammatica, ti consiglio di usare molto le canzoni (leggi e memorizza i testi) e i podcast. Buono studio e Buon anno!

iniziamo dai saluti: “Vi ringrazio” è un vecchio modo di essere formali (i miei nonni usavano questa formula per il singolare formale, ma oggi usiamo il Lei e non più il Voi, quindi se vuoi salutare in modo educato o rispettoso devi dire “La ringrazio” (per il singolare). Per il plurale usiamo “Vi ringrazio” (formale e informale) o “Li ringrazio” (solo formale, ma lo usiamo solo in situazioni rarissime).
Attenzione: se dici ciao non puoi dire La ringrazio perché CIAO è un saluto informale che NON si usa in un contesto formale.
Dato che siamo su un blog la situazione è informale perciò i saluti tipici sono: CIAO e TI RINGRAZIO.
Per quanto riguarda il condizionale, ti risponderò presto, ma nel frattempo ti consiglio di memorizzare il condizionale presente dei verbi VOLERE; POTERE e DOVERE perché, per un anglofono, è il modo più facile di avvicinarsi all’uso del Condizionale.

Ciao Sabrine, “Paio” come giustamente hai scritto si riferisce a una coppia di elementi che solo legati in qualche modo (“un paio di scarpe”; “un paio di orecchini”), o -nella lingua parlata- è usato come sinonimo di due (“un paio di uova”; “ci vediamo tra un paio di giorni”). Non mi viene in mente niente che possa avvicinarlo a “proprio”, ma forse in qualche contesto potrebbe essere confuso. Sto pensando alla frase colloquiale “paio io” dove “paio” è la prima persona presente del verbo “parere” che qui significa “sembrare”.
La coniugazione del presente del v. intr. “Parere” è:
Io pàio
Tu pàri
Lui/lei pàre
Noi paiàmo
Voi paréte
Loro pàiono
Secondo quesito: “ed” e “ad”.
La d dopo la “e” e la “a” ha solo un valore eufonico (cioè di buon suono) e non cambia significato alla congiunzione “e” o alla preposizione “a”. Come hai giustamente affermato la “d” si può aggiungere davanti a vocale (sempre se la vocale è la stessa). Per esempio:
Ho incontrato Paolo ed Enrico
Ieri sera sono andato ad Aosta

Sencond, I already knew the defination of the “Paio” however, this person who is actually Italian told me, this is another defination. so, I got really surprised and confused.
I don’t know why?
perhaps it was a jok?
Anyhow, now I am learning the other defination as “sembrare” thanks again.
About, Ed and Ad, I still need to understand. I am still having a hard time to understand the difference. I do know they both precede the Vocale. Still I must figure it out. Thank you though.

Sinceramente non conosco siti interessanti per scambi di lingua, anche se credo che su facebook ci siano dei gruppi che potrebbero interessarti.
